Zac Gunn, 3, is a very good friend of AR26 Charity and one of our Life Changing Experience recipients. Toddler Zac from Motherwell is fighting pulmonary hypertension (PH), a rare and life-limiting condition that affects the heart and lungs and is in desperate need of a new set of lungs but, because he is so small, his donor needs to be under nine.
Zac, who carries a pump on his back which administers IV medicine into his blood 24/7, astonishes doctors and specialists with his energy and zest for life, recently winning Scotland’s Champions – Little Champion Award. The little Andy Robertson fan was delighted to be asked to launch the Stewart Travel Lapland Prize Draw today and called in help including AR26 Charity Mascot, Handy Andy, and the festive favourite himself, Santa.
As part of the partnership, Stewart Travel were sending Zac, his brother Jacob and Mum and Dad to Lapland this December, but due to Zac being on the transplant list he is unable to travel so will be treated to another Life Changing Experience involving festive fun, creating moments that last minutes, but special memories that last a lifetime.
