We were delighted to host our first Sip and Shop Sunday, Ladies lunch at The Corinthian Club in Glasgow in May.
A fun-filled day featuring, food, fun, fizz and fashion with an incredible feature from two of our hero AR26 Charity beneficiary mums.
The day was hosted by Clyde 1’s, Cassi Gillespie, who also closed the event by doning the decks, other entertainment included: the shopping experience, saxophone from Gordon Bowie, music by Ainsley White and an array of entertainment from the fabulous Mr Edward Reid.
As well as having a great ladies day out, the event was all about raising vital funds for our AR26 Experiences programme.
Our AR26 Experiences are all about placing a well-deserved smile on a young persons face and helping to boost their self belief and confidence at a challenging time in their life.
Experiences are by formal third-party referral only and referring agencies include NHS, Local Authorities, Pastoral Care Teams, Social Work Departments. Beneficiaries may be facing a critical health diagnosis, be caring for a loved one, have lost a parent / sibling, be facing hardship / trauma, saved someone’s life, to name a few.
We deliver experiences throughout the year but many of them take place in and around Christmas, as this can be a particularly hard time for children and young people for many reasons. The highlight in our calendar is always the annual trip to Lapland, a truly magical experience.
This intimate ladies lunch raised an incredible £16,000 for our AR26 Experiences programme and we can’t thank guests enough for their incredible generosity as well as the many businesses and people who donated services and prizes for the event and our amazing stall holders on the day too.
We can’t wait to share some of our forthcoming experiences with you, highlighting the incredible life changing difference being made.
